The National Testing Agency (NTA) has finally released the NEET 2023 Application Form for aspiring medical students. This online mode application process began on 6th March 2023, and students can start applying now. NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) is the most prominent national-level medical entrance exam, and NTA regulates it.

Only conducted once a year, NEET is the key to securing admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, B.Sc nursing, and other courses in colleges and universities across India. Additionally, top institutions like AIIMS, JIPMER, and AFMC offer admission to MBBS courses based on NEET 2023 scores.

Below we have mentioned details about NEET 2023 registration that candidates should check before filling the application:

  • The application form will be provided through online mode only. No offline mode will be accepted to apply for NEET exam.
  • Candidates must have working Mobile Number and Email ID, as it is mandatory for registration.
  • NEET 2023 application form will be available in March 2023.
  • Candidates must fill the application carefully, in case of any correction the authority will also provide the correction facility from fourth week of March 2023.
  • Only one application will be accepted by per candidate.
  • Candidates have to upload scanned images of photograph, signature & other required documents.
  • After the uploading of documents, candidates need to pay the application fee.
  • After the confirmation page is generated, a copy of it will be sent to the registered Email ID by NTA.

Application Fee:

The application fee payment will be done through online mode only. Candidates can use Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, or Paytm Services to pay the application fee.

GST and processing fee will also be charged by the candidates. No offline mode will be available for fee payment. The application fee payable by candidate is mentioned below:

NEET Application Correction

The NTA will provide an opportunity for candidates to make any correction in the application form. NEET application correction window will be started from fourth week of March 2023. Candidates can make correction by entering their application number and password.

It will be only one time opportunity, so candidates must make any correction within the given time period. After that, no correction will be accepted by the authority. Any additional correction fee (wherever applicable) will have to be paid by the candidates via online mode.

NEET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria from below before filling the application:

  • Age Limit: Candidates must have completed minimum 17 years age on or before 31st December of the admission year. No upper age limit to apply for NEET.
  • Nationality: Indian Citizens/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) & Foreign National candidates are also eligible to apply.
  • Qualifying Exam: 12th or equivalent exam passed or appearing candidates are eligible to apply.
  • Percentage: Together in PCB group, it is mandatory to have 50% marks for general and 40% for other reserved categories.
  • Subjects: English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects are mandatory in the qualifying exam.

  • Click on the NEET 2023 application link (link will be given above).
  • Click on the “Registration for NEET UG 2022” link.
  • Go through the “New Registration” button.
  • Read the instructions carefully and click on the “Proceed to Apply” button.
  • Now fill the registration details like name, mobile number, email ID etc. and submit it.
  • After the registration, a new registration ID and password will be generated.
  • Login again with the generated registration ID and password and proceed to fill the application.
  • Fill the personal, educational, communication and other required details in the application form.
  • After submitting the details, proceed to upload the required documents.
  • Upload the scanned images of photograph, signature, thumb and finger prints, postcard size photograph and tenth class certificate in the required format.
  • After the successful uploading of documents, go through the fee payment procedure.
  • The application fee will be paid as per the category of the candidates through online mode.
  • Enter the required details and pay the application fee through debit card, credit card, net banking, Paytm or other payment gateways.
  • It is necessary to pay the application fee to complete the application process.
  • After successful submission of application fee, confirmation page and fee receipt will be generated.
  • Check the confirmation page carefully and take printout of it for further use.

Q. What is NEET?

A. NEET is a national level medical entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is the sole entrance exam for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, and AYUSH courses in all government and private colleges across India.

Q. What is the eligibility criteria for NEET 2023?

A. To be eligible for NEET 2023, a candidate must have completed 17 years of age as of December 31, 2023. He/she must have passed Class 12th or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects. The minimum aggregate marks required for general category candidates is 50%, whereas for SC/ST/OBC category candidates, it is 40%.

Q. What is the exam pattern for NEET 2023?

A. NEET 2023 will be a pen-and-paper based test of 3 hours duration. It will consist of 180 multiple choice questions (MCQs) from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. Each correct answer will fetch 4 marks, whereas 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The exam will be conducted in 11 different languages, including English, Hindi, and regional languages.
