Overview:

UBS is hiring an experienced Financial Accountant at their Pune location. You will prepare complex bonus accruals calculations, reconciliations and accounting journal entries across P&L and balance sheet for all entities across the globe.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate should be able to:

• Perform financial accounting, controlling and reporting tasks with regards to assigned areas within the variable compensation accounting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc management reporting to senior stakeholders as well as external reporting
• Maintain evidences of work performed and handle queries from internal and external auditors
• Prepare and present analytical review packs of P&L and balance sheet explaining underlying business drivers.

Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance / Economics with a strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience within financial accounting, controlling or reporting
• Experience in preparation, calculation and posting complex journal entries in SAP, data analysis, financial reporting and reconciliations of financial data with strong analytical and numerical skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel (working knowledge of pivot tables and vlookups, sumifs is a must)
• Good written and spoken English and a team player
• Quick grasp of conceptually complex accounting frameworks (e.g. IAS19 Employee Benefits and IFRS2 Share-based Payment)
• High attention to detail combined with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work under pressure, meeting strict deadlines and adhering to the required quality standard
