Overview:
Standard Chartered is hiring an experienced Analyst, Audit Performance & Insight at their Bangalore location. This world class leading Bank is seeking for Analyst, Audit Performance & Insight for Group Internal Audit’s Planning, Delivery, MI & Reporting team. As a key member the team, you will help identify insights from audit data to provide critical insights to the Audit Executive Team (AET). This will enable the Audit Executive team to manage the risks of the function, and help GIA achieve its objectives through better change delivery and decision-making to be the world’s leading audit function.

What will you be doing:
- Chapion innovation and train the function on improving data quality and insight.
- Contribute to improving the process efficiencies using automation and data analysis.
- Ebrace the agile philosophy and continuously seek feedback for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the design, development, testing and documentation of analytical procedures (includes data sourcing, data preparation, data transformation, and modelling) to assist in population and scoping analysis, sampling, testing, and issue impact justification. Automate manual processes using technology and create efficiencies.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to understand data flow, data points, and advise on how they can be leveraged in the design of data analytical solution. Contribute to the design and implementation of effective continuous monitoring and auditing strategies.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Qualifications for this job:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a data analysis role preferably with internal audit, a risk function, a control function and/or previous experience in analysing business processes in a financial services industry
- Previous experience in audit risk or fraud areas would be a significant advantage
- Working knowledge of data analysis software; good understanding of data systems and data query and coding language methods, such as SQL, SAS, Python and/or R
- Experience with metrics and reporting using visualisation tools such as Tableau, PowerBI or similar tools
- Good understanding of analytics and techniques, and proven ability to understand problem statements and identify opportunities for use of analytics.
- Knowledge of basic statistics (Correlation, Regression)
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities with a track record in creative and successful problem-solving
- Entrepreneurial with a high level of energy, dedication and an unrelenting drive to deliver value.
- Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written (English)
- Ability to work within a Global Multi-disciplinary team and be a strong team player
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Business (e.g., Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management, Statistics) is preferred
